Under the Lights Baseball Organizations Excited to Announce Longhorns Head Coach

Under the Lights is excited to announce Carlin Dick as the Head Coach of the Lethbridge Longhorns Academy. Carlin grew up in the Fraser Valley, on the south side of Abbotsford, British Columbia where he played all his minor baseball and a few seasons with the British Columbia Premier Baseball Leagues’ (BCPBL) Abbotsford Cardinals. He then attended the Vauxhall Academy of Baseball from 2018-2020. After he graduated he received a scholarship to NCAA Division 1, Canisius University in Buffalo, New York. Where he played four years at Canisius where he was named to the All – Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) rookie team in 2021 as an outfielder, won a MAAC Championship in 2022, and was named All – MAAC Second team Utility Player in 2024. He was apart of the 2021 Lethbridge Bulls WCBL Championship team and was a member of the Bulls from 2021-2024. Carlin has a Bachelors of Science degree in Health and Wellness. Carlin has a passion for coaching and brings a very recent wealth of baseball knowledge that he is eager to share.
Josh Burgmann, Program Director of the organization commented on the hiring, “We couldn’t be more excited to have Carlin take over as Head Coach of the Lethbridge Longhorns. Our players are going to benefit immensely from Carlin’s playing experience as well as his enthusiasm for player development. Carlin embodies our core values as a program and I can’t think of a better person to lead our program moving forward.,”
Here is what new Head Coach, Carlin Dick, had to say about his new role, “I am extremely grateful for the opportunity that Josh and Kevin have given me, I am very excited to share my baseball knowledge with the Longhorns Academy and look forward to giving my best effort to help the kids have success on and off the field.”
In addition to his job as the head coach of the Longhorns, Carlin is currently finishing his playing career with the Lethbridge Bulls. This is the second of many additions to be announced by Under the Lights and we look forward to sharing them all with you in the coming weeks.
